Q: I have an agent helping me buy a home is it a good idea to have him/her with the same company as the sellers agent?
?Anonymous, Albuquerque, NM
A: Just keep in mind that you are not going to be represented since both work for the same broker. It would be dual representation which is illegal so both agents would working in a transaction capacity. I would suggest getting a buyers agent from a competing brokerage so you can have single agent representation.

A: Not a good idea! The temptation to smooth over important stuff that MAY come up is too great. Even the broker who will get both sides of the commission could be tempted.
Buyer Beware! Good Luck
