Prior to that she was our Under 5's Coordinator for 10 years, where she developed the program from just a few children to around 400. Julie has an intimate knowlege of the club and it's workings and remains as passionate as ever about it. Julie's son's Jordan and Luke participated at both a recreational and competitive level at GCGC. Luke is the current Under 17 Australian Board Champion.

Claire has served one term as a general member and is a frequent volunteer around the club. She has experience teaching swimming and running a child care business in the UK. Claire has a son and daughter each in competitive teams.?

General Member: Trisha Hade.

She is also a former WG Qld State Coaching Director and the current chair of the Gymnastics Queensland WG Sports Management Committee. Trisha has four young daughters, one of whom is a current recreational member.

?

General Member: Jane Lee-Joe.

Jane is a parent of a current WG competitive member and works as an accountant. Her input along with our bookkeeper and auditors will provide a valuable financial perspective.

?

Retiring: A big thank you to our retiring President Nicole Brunker who has led the club over the last 6 years through some of our most productive years. Nicole was instrumental in gaining our Star 4 Club 10 Accreditation by updating or introducing numerous policies and best practices including the Members Protection Policy, WHS policies and Risk Management Policies. She served as our WHSO and Member Protection officer. Multitalented Nicole also painted the murals on the gym walls and in the ballet room. Nicole now lives in Mackay and as a board member in some large publicly listed companies has had to cut back on some of her other responsibilities.

?

Retiring: Also a big thank you to our retiring secretary Angela Moore, who is now coaching recreational classes, and who will continue to chair the Parent Fundraising Group and generally volunteer for anything that comes up around the club.
